Meetings

The Group holds meetings every third Tuesday of the month between 8pm and 10pm at the Training Centre of Bedfordshire Fire and Rescue Service in Southfields Road, Kempston.

The meetings are friendly, social events and are open to all members of the Group and members of the public who wish to find out more about the Group.

The Group has the following meetings currently organised:

August 2010 HOLIDAY Due to the holiday period, we do not hold a meeting in August
21st September 2010 ANPR Cameras Acting Chief Inspector Jane Aspin will tell us about the work of the ANPR Interceptor team including some "good"/"amusing" stories about people and vehicles they have stopped. Come along and find out how quickly the police are able to identify illgally used cars.
16th November 2010 Eric Simpson - Senior Examiner Eric is always a very good speaker to the group. He is the senior examiner and is always willing to answer questions about the test, and to give pointers in how to best prepare yourself for it. Rumor abounds about Eric retiring, Eric is still pondering whether Xmas will see him giving up the testing however just in case he is happy to talk to us about his time in the game, and what he feels about advanced driving.
